Cable Technician
Description
Cable Installation: Pull, route, and manage CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic cabling through cable trays, racks, and conduits.
Termination & Testing: Terminate copper (patch panels, jacks) and fiber (LC, SC) connectors; test and certify links with equipment like Fluke analyzers.
Infrastructure Build-out: Install racks, cabinets, cable pathways, and supporting hardware.
System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, identify, and repair cabling faults and connectivity issues.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures (OSHA, NFPA), including safe use of ladders and lift equipment.
Documentation: Label all cables and ports, and update documentation or as-built drawings.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
- Certifications: Often requires or prefers BICSI certifications.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Myers, FL.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
