C-130 Structures Installation Mechanic Senior
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum four years of experience as an Aircraft Structural Assembly Worker.
- To meet the above requirement, an employee review must indicate satisfactory performance in structures assembly as well as hydraulic/plumbing, and/or controls.
- An employee may be required to work under pressurized conditions or in confined areas which require clearance of any applicable medical limitations on weight lifting, body movement or pressurization effects.
- Pressurizer certification will also be required.
- You will be required to attend skills training, and take and pass a performance demonstration test following completion. Failure to pass the testing may result in employment termination.
Job Description
You will be the Assembly Worker Structures Sr - C130 for the team which is responsible for laying out and locating structural components or assemblies in making production assemblies as specified by design changes.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Assembly Worker Structures Sr - C130, you will be responsible for performing difficult structural pick-up and/or rework such as removing, replacing, or realigning ribs, bulkheads, stringers, or fittings in completed skinned assemblies.
- Working structural changes which materially alter previous assembly references and practice
- Performing trimming, reforming, and altering parts and structures as required
- Fabricating detail parts such as shims, splices, gussets, angles, brackets, doublers, stiffeners, and patches
- Performing portable milling operations on wing and center section attaching joints
- Improvising shop aids to facilitate assembly and installation as required

Additional Information
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
NOTE: Up to six months of experience may be offset by experience in the following areas: A&P licensed mechanic, GA hourly.
Desired Skills
- Four years experience aircraft structures experience to include drilling to close tolerances, riveting, countersinking, deburring and repairing hole, various types of fastener installation.
- Prior experience reading blueprints, drawings, schematics, or diagrams.
