Senior Set-Up Mechanic

About the role

The Sr. Set Up Mechanic serves as the subject matter expert for packaging resources, responsible for the setup, changeover, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of packaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP and SOP guidelines.
• Comply with safety / OSHA / FDA regulations.
• Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs on packaging equipment.
• Perform minor troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical issues.
• Check packaging schedules and related changeovers.
• Inspect and clean change parts as required.
• Install and set up bottle unscramblers/cappers, adjust guide rails.
• Check and adjust parameters in slat counters and powder fillers HMI.
• Operate label machines, induction seal machines, outsert machines, and cap torque according to PBR.
• Support other maintenance staff in special projects/maintenance work.
• Aid operations during line qualification/equipment qualification IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Check and maintain inventory of fast-moving spare parts.
• Verify and perform preventative maintenance as required/scheduled.
• Set up automatic cap rejection centers for high/crooked/no cap foil rejection.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• 5 years of experience in Maintenance Repair within Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals.
