Senior Set-Up Mechanic

About the role

The Set-Up Mechanic II serves as the subject matter expert for packaging resources, responsible for setting up, changing over, troubleshooting, and efficiently operating packaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP and SOP guidelines.
• Comply with safety / OSHA / FDA regulations during job duties.
• Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs on packaging equipment.
• Perform minor troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical issues.
• Check packaging schedules and related changeovers with operations.
• Inspect and clean change parts as required, then install and set up bottle unscramblers/cappers.
• Adjust guide rails according to bottle size.
• Check and adjust parameters on slat counters and powder fillers' HMIs.
• Operate label machines, induction seal machines, outset machines, and cap torque machines according to PBR.
• Assist other maintenance staff in special projects or maintenance work.
• Support operations for line qualification and equipment qualification IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Check and maintain inventory of fast-moving spare parts.
• Verify and perform preventative maintenance as required/scheduled.
• Set the automatic cap rejection center for high/crooked and no-cap foil rejection according to bottle size.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED
• Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, maintenance/repair

Pay

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $29.00 to $38.00 per hour. Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, within the first 12 months.
