About the Role

The Specialist Business Unit Project Lead is responsible for managing and executing all sales-related projects, acting as a liaison between cross-functional groups. This remote opportunity is open to candidates located in the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest regions of the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate Business Unit CFAR requests (develop, plan, implement).
  • Lead and quarterback all project-related task list meetings with cross-functional workstreams, including Distribution Engineering, BP Relations, Legal, Sales Ops, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Account Executives, Finance, Human Relations, Fleet, Order Forecasting, Information Technology/Field Services, Master Files, IBP Finance, DSDE Specialist, Real Estate, Settlement/Payroll.
  • Develop task and milestone-level project plans to execute against strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Strategy and Senior Manager of Strategy to brainstorm future BU project needs, such as market expansion, route operations, real estate, and supply chain.
  • Partner with Distribution Engineering and BP Relations teams to manage route health for IBP/RSP routes.
  • Support, review, and provide counsel to Operations Sales Leaders regarding route splits.
  • Plan, develop strategy, and implement all Route Contracts for the BU.
  • Drive cross-functional team deliverables, set and administer schedules, and manage projects.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Regularly analyze and report the progress of programs to leadership.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members to foster accountability and positive action.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel up to 30%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field. A combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating competency may be substituted.
  • 5-7 years of sales management experience with strong operational acumen.
  • 2+ years of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Windows applications, and BBU systems such as BUSS, MicroStrategy, and Margin Miner.
  • Excellent presentation, interpretive, interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written skills.
  • Strategic and process-driven mindset.

Physical Demands

  • Able to use a variety of communication methods frequently.
  • Use of a notebook computer and standard office equipment (printers, fax, phone, etc.).
  • Able to sit, stand, stoop, and use hand motor coordination regularly.
  • Use of various forms of transportation for extended periods on a periodic basis.

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $94,300 - $122,600
