About the role
This position offers the opportunity to support business growth by identifying, qualifying, and managing high-value sales opportunities across multiple market segments. You will work closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and customer teams to transform leads into strategic project opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, qualify, and track large-scale project opportunities across segments such as multi-family housing, hospitality, student housing, master-planned communities, and other high-growth markets.
- Develop visibility into strategic opportunities by maintaining project databases, stakeholder information, qualification details, and sales pipeline activity.
- Identify potential customers, decision-makers, contractors, installers, builders, engineers, and other project influencers to support business development efforts.
- Work closely with regional and national sales teams to provide qualified leads, project insights, and recommendations that support revenue growth.
- Manage consumer and business leads generated through digital channels, ensuring appropriate follow-up, qualification, and assignment to relevant teams.
- Evaluate opportunities and coordinate handoffs for lead conversion activities from trade shows, customer events, and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, engineering, operations, and customer service teams on cross-functional projects and business initiatives.
- Research product specifications, industry trends, and market requirements to support new product launches and specification updates.
- Prepare presentations, demonstrations, project plans, reports, and customer-facing materials that communicate solutions effectively.
- Support customer engagement activities, industry events, builder programs, and partner communications.
- Maintain CRM systems, monitor opportunity progress, and provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and next steps.
- Help identify competitive opportunities and product conversion strategies to increase market share.
- Travel as needed to support customer meetings, projects, trade shows, and industry events.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting indoor air quality products, building solutions, customer support, sales operations, or related industries preferred.
- Experience supporting both wholesale and retail customer channels is preferred.
- Strong understanding of building codes, ventilation standards, and industry trends affecting residential and light commercial markets.
- Experience using CRM platforms for lead management, opportunity tracking, and sales coordination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn new business systems and technologies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Ability to explain technical product features in simple, effective language for contractors, distributors, engineers, architects, and customers.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex project challenges independently.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers, partners, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to educate customers and installation partners on product best practices and encourage solution adoption.
- Project management certification or industry accreditation is preferred.
- Contractor license or certifications such as BPI or similar credentials are a plus.
- Able to travel up to 20%.
- Able to transport product samples, displays, and materials for customer meetings and trade shows, including lifting and carrying items up to approximately 70 pounds.
