Responsibilities
- Prospect new business for transient room needs.
- Communicate frequently with existing accounts and travel agencies through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, entertainment, and written communication.
- Develop marketing campaigns and promotional programs in partnership with revenue management and front-line teams.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, FAM trips, and GBTA/Business Travel Association meetings to expand market reach.
- Negotiate and establish rates for corporate and local accounts under management direction.
- Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and promotional opportunities to inform sales strategy.
- Use Agency360 and CRM tools to identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand existing account share.
- Submit RFPs, negotiate contracts and rate agreements, and manage reservations for smaller group bookings.
- Track account performance metrics and conduct quarterly reviews to optimize revenue and identify growth opportunities.
- Participate in strategic revenue meetings and training as required to align with hotel objectives.
- Submit regular activity reports and sales metrics to track performance against goals.
- Maintain accurate account records and booking documentation.
Requirements
- 4-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum of 2 or more years of employment in a related hotel sales position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CI/Marriott systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agency 360 (Hotelligence) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts.
- Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident and professional appearance.

- Execute and support Hotel Customer Service Standards and Hotel’s Brand Standards.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects with desired outcomes for each.
