Business Systems Analyst Sr

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst within PNC's Digital Identity organization, you will be based in Birmingham, AL, with weekly in-office time required. This position may not be available in all geographic areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, mentoring and coaching junior team members in business analysis best practices and Agile methodologies.
• Understand business intent of projects or requests and break them down into fine-grain business scenarios or logical steps, including MVP identification, dependency sequencing, feature segmentation, and effort scoping.
• Recognize technical capabilities within business flows or processes and define them explicitly.
• Write succinct system requirements and use cases, and create system flows capturing system-to-system interactions.
• Communicate with stakeholders and coordinate business/IT partnerships, socializing the impact of changes to end users.
• Understand software delivery methodologies (Agile: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and work between Product Owners/Managers and Development staff.
• Maintain and organize team backlogs, build roadmaps, track milestones, and forecast release planning and delivery.
• Drive change management, process improvement, leadership, delegation, negotiation, and high-stakes communication.
• Analyze business requirements and production specifications for technology application changes.
• Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs and business processes.
• Direct business process improvement projects to enhance business results.
• Identify and document system constraints, implications, and consequences of proposed changes.
• Provide recommendations for addressing and resolving business issues for specific groups.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university/college degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience (including military service) may be considered.
• Preferred skills: Application Development, Business Management, Customer Solutions, Design, Group Problem Solving, Microsoft Office, Process Improvements, Release Management, ServiceNow Platform, Software Solutions, User Experience (UX) Design.
• Competencies: Business Assessment, Business Process Modeling, IT Environment, IT Project Management, Requirements Analysis, Technical Writing/Documentation, Workflow Analysis.

Education: Bachelor’s degree.
