Business Systems Analyst I

The RealCold platform operates a national, omni-channel network, inclusive of traditional storage offerings, as well as a comprehensive direct-to-consumer program, which can reach the majority of U.S. consumers within 1- or 2-day ground service.

About the role

As a Business Systems Analyst I, you will function as a liaison between IT and users, leveraging both business and technical expertise. You will provide technical support, documentation, and handle small projects while translating business needs into simple technical solutions. This role reports within Operations IT and offers exposure to systems such as WMS and TMS.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create solutions that support overall business strategies.
• Provide first-line technical support for common software and basic networking issues; escalate complex problems to senior staff.
• Document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and create specifications that drive system, dashboard, and process development and implementation.
• Document processes and troubleshooting steps; maintain FAQs and knowledge-based articles.
• Support creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports (refresh data sources, run simple queries, format charts).
• Handle onboarding tasks (equipment setup, account provisioning).
• Work with vendors and internal partners under the direction of senior staff.
• Research low-cost/built-in analytics features and flag useful tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned (documentation, testing, data validation).

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in information systems, computer science, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Two years of related experience (internships, part-time work, coursework count towards this requirement).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Power BI (DA-100), or similar.

Skills

• Basic technical literacy: Microsoft Office, browser navigation, and willingness to learn new tools.
• Familiarity with database concepts and basic SQL is a plus.
• Interest in data visualization and reporting; experience with Power BI preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage tasks and follow through on assignments.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in systems analysis and BI.
• Able to work in short timeframes and under pressure.

Work Environment

• Typical workweek of 40 hours with some overtime, primarily in an office setting.
• Works in a cold storage facility with exposure to low to below-zero temperatures.
• May involve occasional exposure to disagreeable elements such as dust and noise.
• Fast-paced environment with moving machinery, including order pickers and forklifts.
