Business Support Specialist II
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for KOMU 8: answer phones, greet visitors and provide front desk coverage.
- Provide clerical, project and task support to the KOMU 8 news team and Journalism Professions.
- Cook up meetings and appointments: schedule, prepare materials, take minutes, and track attendance.
- Aid with staff searches and onboarding new hires.
- Manage the checkout system for cameras and equipment.
- Coordinate and support events and provide onsite facilitation, including campus visitors, engagement events, and student group trips.
- Fiscal tasks: coordinate travel, purchase supplies, process bills, deposit checks, contracts and reimbursements, and prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports.
- Manage payroll processing and serve as the point of contact with STRIPES Shared Services to process and track HR-related forms for hourly students and part-time personnel.
- Work closely with the School’s Fiscal Officer with other fiscal needs.
- Provide backup support to administrative professionals.
- Other duties as assigned.

Shift
Full-time, Monday to Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. This position requires reliable, onsite attendance.
Minimum Qualifications
- An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
