About the role

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Business Operations Specialist, College of Urban Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scholarship, gift, and grant accounts for five departments (Criminal Justice, Communications, Journalism and Media Studies, Public Policy and Leadership, and Social Work), a student advising center, KUNV Radio, UNLV-TV, as well as several centers/institutes that make up the College of Urban Affairs.
  • Ensure clear, accurate, and transparent business operations for these accounts.
  • Provide guidance and oversight through management reporting and insight to the most efficient and effective use of all funding sources in support of the mission.
  • Collaborate with the UNLV Foundation and Urban Affairs Business Office.
  • Support collaborative communication and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • 1-3 years of experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Higher Education Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or related field preferred.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
