About the role
The Business Operations and Inventory Supervisor manages the back office, inventory, and daily business operations of SITECH Texoma.
Responsibilities
- Prepares reports for dashboard and KPI input.
- Analyzes data for process improvement recommendations.
- Oversees and coordinates activities of direct report and operations staff.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet deadlines, schedules, and customer expectations.
- Recommends measures to improve methods related to operations, sales, service, or rental performance and quality of products or services; suggests changes to improve efficiency.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists coworkers in resolving work problems.
- Oversees and maintains back office systems such as E-Automate.
- Develops personnel through training of defined processes and performance feedback.
- Manages inventory, warehousing, and inventory logistics.
- Oversees and delegates the inventory RMA process.
- Maintains updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
- Oversees shipping/receiving and manages relationships with vendors.
- Researches and maintains inventory adjustments, stock orders, and replenishment.
- Interprets company policy to employees and enforces safety regulations.
- Works with sales operations and sales management to ensure all parts are pulled and bills of sale are complete.
- Collaborates with service operations and service management on processes and inventory management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises Inventory Coordinator.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities including recommending hires, planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees, and addresses complaints and resolves problems.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of database software, internet software, inventory software, and order processing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with managing inventory.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently, strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations in English.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Environment
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
- Required travel up to 10%.
- This position is considered safety-sensitive.
