Why does the job exist?
The Business Operations Analyst position exists to support the Capital Infrastructure Manager as relates to providing administrative support and maintaining accurate financial tracking reports, inputting and organizing data and maintaining information which contributes to achieving agency objectives.
How does it get done?
- Provide program guidance and direction to business units and separate reporting activities on all matters pertaining to business and life-cycle acquisition processes.
- Define and perform system analysis and develop tasks to improve work flow and operating efficiency.
- Record transactions, reconcile accounts and maintain financial tracking spreadsheets.
- Track and reconcile budget to actual expenses.
- Maintain systems for organizing company records and documents.
- Collaborate with team members and accounting staff to obtain information and records.
- Update and maintain tracking spreadsheets with financial data while checking for accuracy.
Who are the customers?
The position is with the New Mexico Department of Health, Facility Management Division, Office of Facilities Management. The position will be working with the Office of Facilities Management team and directly reports to the Capital Infrastructure Manager.
Minimum Qualification
- A high school diploma or equivalency and two (2) years of experience in office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning.
- An alternative combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
