About the role

BayMark Health Services is seeking a Business Office Services Coordinator to manage patient accounts, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide training across multiple clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve insurance claim rejections/denials
  • Audit daily reconciliation reports, deposits, and record keeping
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of accounts
  • Oversee adjustment/discharge balance process
  • Maintain and monitor billing trends
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external contacts
  • Train and review compliance at multiple clinics
  • Compile financial statistics for budgetary and reporting purposes
  • Attend required meetings and facilitate training sessions

Requirements

  • Minimum three years' experience in patient financial services, clinical service access, or billing/collections
  • Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field with two years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Revenue Cycle Management Systems/Practice Management Systems
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Behavioral health or substance abuse experience helpful
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Compliance with professional standards and practices
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Strong time management skills
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding
  • Understanding of HIPAA and other relevant regulations
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
