About the role
BayMark Health Services is seeking a Business Office Services Coordinator to manage patient accounts, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide training across multiple clinics.
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve insurance claim rejections/denials
- Audit daily reconciliation reports, deposits, and record keeping
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of accounts
- Oversee adjustment/discharge balance process
- Maintain and monitor billing trends
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external contacts
- Train and review compliance at multiple clinics
- Compile financial statistics for budgetary and reporting purposes
- Attend required meetings and facilitate training sessions
Requirements
- Minimum three years' experience in patient financial services, clinical service access, or billing/collections
- Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field with two years of relevant experience
- Experience with Revenue Cycle Management Systems/Practice Management Systems
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Behavioral health or substance abuse experience helpful
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Compliance with professional standards and practices
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Discretion in handling confidential information
- Strong time management skills
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding
- Understanding of HIPAA and other relevant regulations
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
