Business Office Manager - Long-Term Care
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Business Office Manager to join our growing team in Long-Term Care. The successful candidate will oversee financial and administrative operations to support accurate billing, compliance, and smooth facility function.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivable: Maintain records, send collection letters, and follow up on past-due balances
- SUPPORT Billing Operations: Process monthly private pay billing, post cash deposits, and verify financial details for new inquiries and admissions
- PROCESS Claims: Submit and follow up on Medicare, MSP, Managed Care, and insurance claims
- OVERSEE Resident Trust Funds: Maintain accurate trust fund records and ensure compliance with regulations
- ENSURE TIMELY Billing: Complete Medicare/HMO claims by the 5th of each month and bill hospice companies promptly
- PARTNER WITH Staff: Provide training and coverage to ensure “3 Deep” office backup coverage
- COLLABORATE with Teams: Attend interdisciplinary meetings to review admissions, discharges, and payer changes
- SUPPORT General Office Tasks: Handle mail, update PCC records, and verify financials for new admissions
Requirements
- Experience in accounts receivable and general financial processes
- Excellent organization and multitasking ability
- Proficient in typing, 10-key entry, and general computer use
- Clear communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
- Able to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
- Genuinely cares about elderly and disabled individuals
- Adheres to safety policies and respects the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities

About the Role

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and coding
- Experience with medical record management systems

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is full-time, with standard business hours.
