About the Role

Majestic Care of Sagamore Hills is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead and direct all routine Human Resource functions within our community. This role ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and governmental laws and regulations to minimize risk and foster a culture of fairness, consistency, and compliance. Responsibilities

  • Partner with the leadership team in managing the recruiting and on-boarding process.
  • Present benefit plans to care team members and explain changes, options, and enrollment/de-enrollment processes.
  • Follow up with newly hired care team members based on reports from the company health insurance broker.
  • Ensure all communication and benefits materials are provided to care team members experiencing status changes.
  • Maintain compliance in Care Team Member files, including I-9/E-Verify processes, new hire forms, and EEO document tracking.
  • Track and monitor the OSHA 300 Log and recordable events; assist in investigating work-related incidents, particularly complex or loss-time cases.
  • Respond timely to and participate in unemployment claims and matters.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between care team members and the Regional HR Director for leave requests, ensuring proper documentation, eligibility, benefits, and PTO management.
  • Act as a liaison between the community and Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate HRIS data for care team members.
  • Provide support and guidance on complex, sensitive issues such as reasonable accommodations, investigations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in a human resources position; long-term care setting preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
