About the role

As Business Office Director, you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of business office operations, including billing, collections, accounts payable, payroll, and resident accounts
  • Preparation, reconciliation, and maintenance of accurate financial records, including cash controls, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
  • Collaboration with department leaders to assign and track departmental expenses and budgets; preparation of financial and management reports as needed
  • Maintenance of resident, vendor, team member, and financial files in accordance with policies and compliance requirements
  • Partnering with residents and families to resolve billing and collection matters professionally and accurately
  • Human resources processes including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, benefits administration, payroll, and record maintenance
  • Guidance of department leaders on employee relations, policy compliance, and performance management
  • Overseeing employee engagement and safety initiatives, including appreciation programs, safety committee leadership, and workplace injury reporting
  • Conducting exit interviews and preparing regular reports for community leadership
  • Supervision, training, and coaching of concierge staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of all processes
  • Ensuring corporate policies and internal controls are consistently applied
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support community operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with at least one year of accounting experience preferred
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting with two to three years of related experience considered
  • Experience in business office management, payroll, or human resources encouraged
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in financial systems, human resources information systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and team members
