About the Role

Serves as the liaison between the contracting officer and the contractor, ensuring all contract requirements are met in accordance with government regulations and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates meetings between the NAF Contracting Officer and contractor to discuss contract status, performance, and any potential changes.
  • Facilitates the execution of short-term contracts for vendors during special events.
  • Manages post-event activities, including settling accounts and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Prepares periodic reports for the NAF Contracting office, DFMWR, and DFAS, maintains historical financial data, and coordinates reporting documents with the Environmental Office.
  • Supervises assigned employees, ensures the maintenance of the facility footprint to the expected standards.
  • Oversees the maintenance of supplies and ensures that assigned tasks are completed efficiently.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (www.sss.gov).
  • Work hours may involve weekend, weekdays, holidays, and night duty.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Complete NAF Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Course within 90 days of employment.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Required to file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with requirements of DODD 5500.7 Joint Ethics Regulation.

Qualifications

Resumes must clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities as they pertain to this position.

  • A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in a directly related discipline.
  • OR one year of work experience in contract administration, project management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
