About the Role
Provides daily direction, oversight, and technical expertise for the development and execution of initiatives for Centennial Banquet and Conference Center, as well as associated management and resource support functions.
Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates details of events, including determining specifications for sophisticated menus and bar services.
- Develops pricing policy and price lists for all catering events; ensures proper billings and explains/justifies charges to clients.
- Establishes immediate and long-range goals, objectives, and plans to meet customer needs.
- Ensures organizational performance goals and measures align with strategic direction and operational plans.
- Coordinates functions with community and military representatives.
- Supervises a wide range of staff, including subordinate supervisors.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must obtain (within 6 months of hire) and maintain an ANSI-accredited Food Protection Manager Certification (e.g., ServSafe).
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450.
- Work experience managing or directing the activities of a business such as a restaurant, bowling center, or golf course.
- Resumes must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities; the above qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience.
