Mountain River Physical Therapy, part of the Confluent Health family, is seeking a relationship-driven full-time Business Development Specialist to grow provider partnerships and increase patient referrals throughout the New Martinsville and greater area. This is a field-based role for someone who enjoys building relationships, representing a healthcare brand in the community, and turning outreach efforts into measurable referral growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build productive relationships with physicians, referral coordinators, case managers, hospital systems, and other healthcare partners.
  • Develop and execute a territory outreach plan focused on increasing awareness and patient referrals.
  • Identify new referral opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing provider offices.
  • Coordinate opportunities for physical therapists and clinic leaders to connect with referral sources.
  • Track outreach activity, referral trends, and market opportunities to determine what is working and where additional focus is needed.
  • Support community events, partnerships, sponsorships, and local marketing initiatives.
  • Help clinic leaders create action plans for locations needing additional referral growth.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in physician liaison work, healthcare marketing, medical sales, provider relations, community outreach, or business development (preferred but not required).
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant clinical/healthcare experience (preferred but not required).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media and digital marketing tools is helpful.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Wilmington territory.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • High School Diploma/GED.

Pay

~$19-$25/hour + mileage reimbursement and quarterly bonus opportunity.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday.
