Business Development — Retail Partnerships (Programmatic Growth) - Guggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners
Position Summary
Guggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners (GRREP) is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to join their team. Reporting to the COO, this role involves identifying growth-oriented retailers and structuring long-term development pipelines for single-tenant net lease assets across the United States. The position requires on-site work in Frisco, TX at least 5 days per week.
About the Role
Position GRREP as a preferred development partner for growth-oriented retailers. Represent the firm at industry conferences, ICSC events, and retail real estate forums. Serve as a primary relationship manager for retailer clients throughout the lifecycle of the partnership.
Essential Job Functions
Client Origination & Relationship Development: Identify and target national and regional retail brands with active unit growth strategies. Develop direct relationships with real estate decision-makers and source and originate new client partnerships.
Market Intelligence & Targeting: Analyze retailer expansion strategies and identify emerging brands poised for rapid expansion. Maintain deep knowledge of trends across net lease retail sectors.
Partnership Structuring & Execution: Collaborate with internal teams to align on client opportunities, structure development partnerships, and support long-term rollout plans.
Client Management & Growth: Ensure consistent delivery and execution of development programs to support client expansion goals. Expand existing client relationships into additional markets or formats.
Brand Representation & Industry Presence: Represent the firm at industry conferences and retail real estate forums. Continuously evaluate and improve marketing content to better articulate the firm's value proposition.
Preferred Qualifications
Existing relationships with retailer real estate teams and/or tenant rep brokers.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsive to client needs.

Highly proactive, relationship-driven, and entrepreneurial mindset.
Collaborative team player, motivated by the open exchange of ideas within a team environment.
Demonstrated track record of originating deals or client relationships (not just executing).
Basic Qualifications
Completion of a bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail real estate, tenant representation, net lease development, or related business development roles.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry conferences.
