Business Development Representative & Boat Captain

What You'll Do

• Work closely with OEMs and their dealers to drive sales
• Generate new OEM business and implement creative sales and marketing tactics
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Seakeeper Ride demo days with OEMs and dealers
• Locate dealers for specific OEM brands and identify top dealers for applicable Seakeeper Ride target models
• Aid in installation and sea trials on OEM new model installations
• Travel to OEMs and dealers weekly and build/maintain contact lists in NetSuite
• Gather information for and create custom sales packets for OEM sales team and dealers including sea trial results, installation pictures, and more
• Routinely share program results, industry trends, and creative inspiration with the team
• Support and attend Seakeeper Ride boat shows and events

What You Need to Succeed

• Must-have qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, minimum 1 year of experience as a Boat Captain, OUPV Six-Pack Captain’s License, valid drivers license with CDL or DOT license, strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of navigation systems, marine safety, and vessel operation, ability to perform manual labor, pass drug screening, and participate in random testing programs, ability to maintain vessels and company truck, willingness to travel up to 70%, professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible, well-organized, results-driven, and of unquestionable integrity
• Nice-to-haves: Previous experience in the marine industry and/or with OEM accounts

More Details

• Based out of Fort Myers office when not traveling
• Travel up to 70% of the time throughout the entire United States
• Reports to the National OEM Sales Manager, who is also based in Ft. Myers, but works closely with the entire America’s OEM Sales team
