Job Description

The Business Development Rep is responsible for generating new business and building relationships with referral sources, including insurance agents, adjusters, property managers, and commercial clients, to drive revenue growth.

  • Develop and execute a territory business development plan focused on disaster recovery, water/fire/mold remediation, environmental cleanup, and insurance-driven reconstruction.
  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities in key verticals such as property management, insurance carriers, adjusters, municipal contracts, healthcare, and education.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters, property owners, facility managers, and restoration consultants.
  • Conduct in-person visits, presentations, and lunch-and-learns with referral sources and prospective clients.
  • Attend industry networking events, disaster recovery forums, trade shows, and association meetings (e.g., CAI, IREM, RIMS).
  • Promote the company's full range of restoration and reconstruction services.
  • Support the sales process from prospecting through close, including proposals and follow-up.
  • Maintain an active pipeline in the CRM with detailed reporting on opportunities, communications, and deal progress.
  • Collaborate with estimators, claims managers, and project managers to align client expectations with project delivery.
  • Monitor local market trends and the competitive landscape to inform outreach.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales, revenue, and activity targets.
  • Represent the company professionally and ensure a positive client experience from first contact through hand-off.

Position Requirements

  • A high school diploma/GED required; a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of sales or business development experience.
  • Experience in restoration, construction, or insurance industry a plus.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
  • Must be able to work in person and travel to job sites as needed.
  • Available for weekend and after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling at jobsites.
  • Climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding, and working at heights.
  • Working in confined spaces and maintaining various positions for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds; heavier loads with assistance.
  • Operating power tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
  • Frequent driving to and between jobsites.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, and eye protection.
  • Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat, cold, humidity, dust, water, smoke, mold, and chemicals.
  • Exposure to loud noise levels at jobsites.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
  • Close and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

$60k-75k + Commission
