Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses opportunities, qualifies leads, and develops business
  • Sells and closes opportunities in partnership with the office network
  • Marks respective mode/service to sales and account management teams through ongoing education
  • Drives growth and creates demand for the mode/service, ensuring robust pipeline of customer opportunities
  • Understands and designs solutions addressing the customer's short and long-term needs
  • Partners with internal pricing teams to create pricing models and strategies for mode/service products and services
  • Refines marketing strategy for respective mode/service based on network feedback and external market trends
  • Buys into and builds relationships with multiple groups internal to C.H. Robinson, including sales, account management, GAC’s, the office network, Regional Sales Directors, Customer Shared Services, and the executive team
  • Works with and builds relationships with multiple groups internal to C.H. Robinson, including sales, account management, GAC’s, the office network, Regional Sales Directors, Customer Shared Services, and the executive team
  • Generates leads and supports the sales process for large or complex opportunities
  • Leads and/or participates in strategic account discussions, contract, and pricing strategy directly with the office network and/or the customer directly

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years previous sales, operations and/or account management experience
  • Ability to travel 25-40% (domestically or internationally)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs with proven examples of using Excel for analysis and modeling (preferred)
  • Proven ability to create and sell comprehensive solutions and service packages to all buying influences
  • Demonstrated influencing, negotiation, collaboration, communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable financial results through sales or account management solutions
  • Strong strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills and business acumen
  • Strong technical understanding of C.H. Robinson, modes and services, and systems
  • Proven ability to develop proposal presentations in Word or PowerPoint

Compensation

Compensation Range: $77,000.00 - $173,600.00

The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
