Business Development Manager – MDU / Property-Wide Internet (NYC)
Position Overview
Natural Wireless is seeking a New York City-based Business Development Manager to drive MDU expansion throughout NYC and the surrounding tri-state market. This role focuses on securing building-wide access agreements, targeting new construction and conversion projects, expanding relationships with owners and management companies, and positioning Natural Wireless as the premier provider of resilient property-wide Internet infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Owner & Developer Acquisition
- Identify and target multifamily owners, developers, and property management firms
- Secure building-wide access agreements and bulk Internet partnerships
- Negotiate long-term license agreements
- Develop relationships with institutional ownership groups and family offices
New Construction Strategy
- Build relationships with developers, architects, MEP engineers, and construction managers
- Position Natural Wireless early in the development and design process
- Present Property-Wide Internet and WiFi as a premium amenity and leasing differentiator
- Capture project feasibility with deployment and engineering teams
Retrofit & Conversion Opportunities
- Identify existing multifamily and mixed-use buildings
- Present ROI-driven solutions focused on resident retention, operational efficiencies, and property value enhancement
- Structure zero-capital solutions for ownership groups
Strategic Relationship Building
- Develop relationships with NYC-based property management companies, brokers, consultants, and ownership groups
- Attend industry networking events, real estate conferences, and apartment association functions
- Establish long-term partnerships across institutional portfolios
Deal Structuring & Negotiation
- Structure license agreements, and portfolio-wide opportunities
- Coordinate with legal, deployment, and engineering teams throughout negotiations
- Manage full sales cycle from prospecting through execution
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years experience in multifamily real estate, telecom infrastructure sales, proptech, or MDU agreements
- Strong NYC-area real estate relationships
- Experience working with institutional ownership and management groups
- Proven ability to negotiate long-term agreements
- Self-motivated with strong networking and business development skills
Preferred:
- Experience selling building-wide Internet, managed WiFi, or smart building infrastructure
- Familiarity with NYC development pipeline and multifamily market
- Existing relationships with developers, property managers, or construction firms in the NYC market
