Business Development Manager - Infrastructure (Northeast)

About the role

This is a heavy travel position covering the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Selected person will be required to travel approximately 50% of the time or more. Must live in territory to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Learn all about Victaulic’s products and the many ways we can provide solutions for our customers and help them get their projects done on time and within budget.
• Understand construction cycles, find and follow major construction, expansion or retrofit projects, and keep current with market trends and competitor activity.
• Work with your Regional Sales Manager to develop a business plan, including opportunity mapping, sales goals, product promotion plans, and strategies to maximize your sales potential.
• Execute all phases of project pursuit and project management to secure a purchase order – from project inception through design, specifications, drawings, bidding phase, job site training and support, final commissioning and after-sale follow up.
• Gain complete information for all quotation requisitions including application, specification, pricing and timing requirements, and lead the inside sales team, engineering and other support staff to ensure good teamwork to meet customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners in your territory.
• Educate customers on the overall value Victaulic products bring to their project, and influence the decision-makers to maximize your sales potential.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Civil / Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License (Not Required).
• Strong presentation skills and able to deliver technical messages.
• Willingness to travel and work in adverse weather conditions.

Pay

Total On Target Earnings in this role will be $120,000 - $140,000 depending on experience and formal training.

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible working hours to accommodate travel and project demands.
