About the role
The Business Development Manager - Commercial is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the commercial sector. This role requires strong networking skills, market analysis, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the company’s commercial presence in targeted markets.
- Identify potential clients and prospects through various channels such as industry events, online research, and referrals.
- Conduct market analysis to understand client needs and competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Present proposals and solutions that align with client needs and company goals.
- Manage the sales pipeline from initial contact to closing deals.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of projects and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Proven track record of successful client acquisition and retention.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
