Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a construction pipeline of qualified commercial projects across Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, and surrounding markets
- Lead project pursuit strategy, including go/no-go decisions, opportunity qualification, and risk analysis
- Drive client development with owners, developers, architects, engineers, stakeholders, and public agencies throughout New Mexico
- Cook up coordination with preconstruction, estimating, and operations teams to align scope, schedule, and pricing strategy
- Execute winning strategies for CMAR, Design-Build, and Hard Bid opportunities
- Maintain accurate data in CRM systems, including pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting
- Support proposal development, interviews, and presentation strategy to improve win rates
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction business development experience with a general contractor or commercial builder
- Proven success in construction sales, project pursuit, and winning commercial work
- Strong knowledge of preconstruction, estimating, and construction delivery methods (CMAR, Design-Build, Hard Bid)
- Experience with pipeline management and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Established relationships within Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, or the broader Southwest construction market preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Primary focus on projects within Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, and regional New Mexico markets
