Brief Overview

Medisca is a global company dedicated to serving healthcare professionals through various wellness disciplines. The Business Development Executive (BDE) - Outside Sales position focuses on prospecting new accounts, cross-selling, and upselling existing accounts, while also servicing and maintaining these accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting new accounts, cross-selling, and upselling existing accounts
  • Building and strengthening customer relationships
  • Increasing sales within the assigned territory
  • Providing excellent service to customers and identifying new accounts
  • Generating sales from inactive and new customers
  • Cold calling prospective customers to determine opportunities
  • Researching new potential clients and following up on referrals
  • Maintaining existing accounts and relationship building
  • Attaining monthly sales objectives and monitoring profit margins
  • Analyzing territory trends and identifying opportunities
  • Following up with customers on sales and product availability
  • Suggesting new revenue sources and products
  • Ensuring client data and calls are kept relevant and current in systems
  • Proactively following up with clients to ensure they always have the support they need
  • Discussing existing accounts with the Account Executive and strategizing on increasing business
  • Informing the Account Executive of the planning cycle to maximize synergies and account contacts
  • Providing leads and referrals to the Account Executive for visitation
  • Traveling for client visits, trade shows, training, and other activities

Requirements

  • College or University degree
  • Experience as a pharmacy technician, knowledge of compounding, or representative in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in a sales role
  • Proven abilities in discovering opportunities, developing strategies, and closing sales
  • Effective organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Memorable, dynamic, and animated communication skills
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook)

Qualifications

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of compounding
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and listening skills
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time
