The Role
This is an ideal entry-level to early-career opportunity for someone who is curious, analytical, and excited to build a career at the intersection of research, writing, and data-driven decision-making in the mining and engineering sectors. We’re looking for someone with strong foundational skills and a passion for learning. Deep industry experience isn’t essential. You’ll be supported and trained to develop expertise in market intelligence, technical writing, and proposal development.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct research into mining industry activity, projects, and trends using public data and industry resources
- Review and summarise technical reports (e.g., NI 43-101, scoping studies) into clear, digestible insights
- Gather and organise data from sources such as SEDAR, Mining.com, Northern Miner, and other databases
- Support the team in identifying new opportunities by analysing project pipelines and market signals
- Help build internal knowledge bases and tracking tools to monitor trends and opportunities
- Support the preparation of proposals (EOIs, RFQs, RFPs) and other early-stage project materials
- Cook up and organise content into clear, structured documents
- Write and edit sections of proposals, ensuring clarity, consistency, and strong storytelling
- Maintain and update content libraries, templates, and CRM records
- Administer the company’s Hubspot CRM
- Aid in tracking deadlines, deliverables, and submission quality
- Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal processes and tools
What We’re Looking For
- A strong interest in research, writing, and working with data
- A degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Communications, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
- 0–3 years of experience in a research, writing, coordination, or analyst-type role
- Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and confidently communicate complex ideas clearly and professionally in a business setting
- A high attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A curious, proactive, and eager-to-learn attitude in a technical environment
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); interest in data tools is a plus
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Exposure to mining, engineering, environmental, or technical industries
- Experience with proposal writing, academic research, or report writing
- Familiarity with CRM, databases, dashboards, or data visualisation tools
- An interest in sustainability, critical minerals, mine water treatment, or resource development
- Additional language skills are an asset, particularly for candidates who can comfortably communicate in professional settings (written and verbal) across multiple languages
Compensation
$65,000 to 85,000 CAD per year based on experience, education and skillset for this full-time, in-person Monday to Friday position.
