Business Analyst - Payer Escalations

About the role

The Business Analyst Payer Escalations is responsible for designing, producing, and analyzing data-driven reports to support business operations and special projects. This role involves utilizing various databases, information systems, and analytical tools to monitor, evaluate, and enhance business performance. The Business Analyst also assists in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of information systems, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and usability for decision-making. This role is ideal for an analytically minded professional who enjoys working with data, optimizing reporting systems, and supporting business decision-making through actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business operations
• Analyze trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights
• Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in reporting
• Utilize SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics tools to extract and manipulate data
• Conduct statistical analysis to support data-driven decision-making
• Translate complex data into concise, easy-to-understand reports for stakeholders
• Assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of business information systems
• Maintain data structures, queries, and reporting tools to support business needs
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure data availability and system functionality
• Document business processes, data sources, and reporting methodologies
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement
• Provide recommendations for enhancing data collection, storage, and analysis methods
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT to understand reporting needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree (Required)
• 3+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, data reporting, or analytics
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple databases
• Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools, SQL querying, and reporting software
• No specific certification or licensure requirements

Compensation

The base pay range for full-time employment is $76,086.40 - $115,585.60 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually. Colleagues have the opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus if established system and employee eligibility criteria is met.
