Business Analyst (Banking & Payments)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Banking and Payments domain expertise to gather requirements, analyze payment processes, and work with business and technology teams to deliver secure and efficient payment solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and functional requirements for banking and payment systems.
• Work on ACH, Wire Transfers, SWIFT, RTP/Faster Payments, card payments, and payment processing.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, QA, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Analyze payment workflows and identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support UAT, defect resolution, production issues, and release activities.
• Ensure solutions meet banking, compliance, risk, and security requirements.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and manage requirements through JIRA/Confluence.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Business Analyst experience with Banking/Financial Services.
• Strong hands-on experience in Payments domain.
• Knowledge of ACH, SWIFT, Wire, RTP, ISO 20022, and payment gateways.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with SQL, JIRA, Confluence, Agile/Scrum.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
