About the role
The Business Account Manager, Digital Chromatography Solutions will drive the growth of Genedata Chromatics, our new chromatography data management and analysis platform. This platform captures experimental data from chromatography instruments, automates analysis, validates results, and consolidates insights to power project decisions and AI-driven drug discovery. This on-site role, based in Lexington, MA, reports to the Global Manager, Genedata Chromatics Business.
Responsibilities
- Represent Genedata at conferences, trade shows, and networking events to connect with biopharmaceutical scientists, IT professionals, and R&D managers.
- Identify opportunities by uncovering critical needs around chromatography data analysis and management.
- Drive business and manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying leads, conducting software demonstrations (with the professional services team), communicating proposals, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Manage active accounts by building trusted relationships, understanding customer needs, managing renewals, expanding licenses, and developing opportunities for paid projects.
- Collaborate with professional services, product management, marketing, and other teams to identify and sell software and services.
Requirements
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in a Life Sciences discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in B2B life sciences or software sales.
- Familiarity with drug discovery processes.
- Strong initiative, planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Must be currently located in the U.S. and legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on chromatography experience, including data analysis.
Schedule
This position requires 20% travel within North America on a regular basis and occasional international travel.
Pay
The annual salary range for this role is $90,000–$120,000, with eligibility for bonus/incentive pay.
