Bus Monitor

Ball-Chatham School District is seeking multiple Part-Time Bus Monitors for the 2026-2027 school year. If you are passionate about supporting students and ensuring a safe, efficient environment on the school bus, we want to hear from you!

About the Role

• Starting Wage & FLSA Status: $15.00 per hour & Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18+ years of age
• Ability to pass a fingerprint criminal and DCFS background check

Special Knowledge, Skills, And Requirements

• Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively with students
• Ability to apply common sense understanding in carrying out instructions
• Ability to exercise appropriate disciplinary techniques
• Ability to be trained in and apply behavior modification techniques
• Ability to work as part of a team and serve as a role model for students

Duties

• Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, and use hands
• Frequently required to assist physically challenged students

• Maintain the qualifications and licensure outlined in the job description
