Position Summary

The Bus Driver works as a member of the Blue Mountain Care Center team, providing transportation of Care Center Residents. The Bus Driver operates the Blue Mountain Care Center bus in a safe manner and performs duties assigned by the Administrator/Director of Nursing Services.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the BMHD.
• Complete required training to operate bus.
• Provide transportation of residents to destinations including but not limited to, medical appointments, activities, other appointments, etc.
• Operate the bus in a safe manner.
• Perform operator maintenance on vehicles as needed.
• Maintain work areas and vehicle in a clean, orderly, and secure manner.
• Maintain cooperative working relationship with team members, residents, other agencies/organizations, and the public to provide quality customer services in a courteous manner.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures for work areas.

Education Requirements

• Required: High School Diploma, G.E.D or equivalent experience
• PREFERRED: None

Certification & Licensure Requirements

• Required: Current and valid driver’s license in good standing
  Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• PREFERRED: None
