About the Role

As a Burn Outpatient Nurse Supervisor, your voice influences patient care through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager and formal opportunities via hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You will help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

You will create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes while ensuring adherence to standards of care. You will support the achievement of internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations, and ensure equipment maintenance is performed regularly according to regulatory and accreditation standards.

You will model, promote, and hold staff accountable for consistent, positive interactions that create an unparalleled patient experience. You will represent the organization positively within the community by participating in company-sponsored events, patient in-services, and community outreach.

You will lead in a way that inspires commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values, and implement evidence-based employee engagement practices. You will assist with staff scheduling and maintain staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to standards of care and support achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
• Oversee equipment maintenance according to regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Model and promote consistent, positive interactions to create an exceptional patient experience.
• Represent the organization in the community through participation in events and in-services.
• Lead staff in alignment with the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
• Implement evidence-based employee engagement practices.
• Assist with staff scheduling and maintain staffing levels based on patient care needs and productivity guidelines.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 2 years of RN experience required.
• 1 year of Burn or Wound Care experience required.
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
