Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Technician II

As a Building & Grounds Industrial Maintenance Partner, you'll maintain H-E-B facilities and systems in a professional manner to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability. You'll support our mission to be a world class maintenance management organization using the latest in technology, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities and essential functions of this role include maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of various systems and equipment. Specific duties include:

• Performing basic office remodel skills
• Applying knowledge of proper dock maintenance methods
• Repairing and replacing basic plumbing fixtures
• Reading site drawings and symbols to repair and replace doors, walls, and flooring
• Installing and repairing power transmission equipment
• Repairing and replacing mechanical apparatus containing bearings, belts, drives, sheaves, and sprockets
• Performing preventive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical circuits
• Working with fire systems and applying knowledge of wet systems

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, welding, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, or construction trades
• Working knowledge of 3-phase AC voltage sources, amp meters, multimeters, and Ohm's law
• Working knowledge of different types of sprockets, bearings, v-belts, drive belts, and sheaves
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks
• Initiative and attention to detail

Qualifications

You'll need a high school diploma or GED to be considered for this role.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

This role requires:

• Working while standing, sitting, stooping, walking, bending, and in prone position
• Climbing and working from elevated platforms
• Lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs
• Working in extreme temperatures ranging from -20 to 130 degrees
