Building Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

• Direct activities, repair and maintain facilities and equipment
• Perform general construction, repair, and installation tasks
• Perform basic plumbing, welding, electrical, carpentry, masonry, landscaping, and other tasks
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of tools, materials, and supplies
• Order supplies and pick up special parts from vendors as needed
• Keep shop areas clean and orderly; dispose of refuse properly
• Operate and maintain various construction and maintenance equipment
• Use a variety of carpentry, masonry, electrical, and hand tools
• Prepare checklists and perform routine preventive maintenance on buildings, equipment, and tools
• Clean and maintain equipment, supplies, and workshop areas
• Review blueprints, drawings, and diagrams
• Receive, complete, and process work orders, invoices, reports, and related documents
• Prepare and submit maintenance records, work reports, and other required documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License required
• Two years (2) of experience in construction, carpentry, building trades; such as HVAC, plumbing, welding or electrical
• A Georgia’s Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred
