Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Technician II - HVAC

As a Building & Grounds Industrial Maintenance Partner, you'll maintain H-E-B facilities and systems in a professional manner to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability. You'll support our mission to be a world class maintenance management organization using the latest in technology, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities and essential functions of this role include maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of various systems and equipment. This includes:

• Maintenance and repair of buildings, including basic office remodel skills, dock maintenance, and repair/replacement of plumbing fixtures, doors, walls, flooring, and other materials
• Mechanical repairs and installation of power transmission equipment, repair/replacement of mechanical apparatus, and performance of preventive maintenance
• Hydraulics and pneumatics, including reading hydraulic schematics, making flow control adjustments, and performing preventive maintenance
• Fire systems and electrical troubleshooting and repair of basic 120/277 VAC circuits

Requirements

This role requires:

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, welding, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, or construction trades
• Working knowledge of 3-phase AC voltage sources, amp meters, multimeters, and Ohm's law
• Working knowledge of different types of sprockets, bearings, v-belts, drive belts, and sheaves
• Strong organization and time-management skills, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks
• Initiative and attention to detail
• HS Diploma or GED

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

This role requires working in a variety of physical conditions, including:

• Standing, sitting, stooping, walking, bending, with hands over head, and in prone position
• Climbing and working from elevated work platforms, such as ladders, manlifts, scissor lifts, catwalks, and silos
• Lifting and carrying 75 lbs
• Working in extreme temperatures ranging from -20 to 130 degrees
