About the role
The Build Team Associate Manager F-16- 2nd Shift - Level 4 is responsible for managing schedules, budgets, and workforce development while driving quality, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage Earned Value Management System (EVMS) financial control plans and schedules, ensuring adherence to baseline budgets and production targets.
- Supervise and develop a skilled workforce, fostering technical proficiency, safety, and quality culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, including the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and the System Program Office.
- Lead continuous-improvement initiatives, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure production flow remains free of Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
- Cook up staffing, recognize employee achievements, and drive employee development and engagement.
Requirements
- At least 6 years experience leading a team in Aviation disciplines relating to Military Sortie Generation, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Modification, Repair or Overhaul (MMRO) Operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Experience leading a team to meet critical schedules, resolve complex and/or time sensitive technical or operational issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or 6 years Combined Aviation Production, Maintenance, Modification, Repair and Overhaul (MMRO)
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to create and utilize metrics related to performance.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
- Shop Floor Manager (SFM) experience is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments.
- Ability to understand budget for the assigned department and budget performance.
- Demonstrated ability to create, monitor and report on all executive operations metrics.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
