Bridge Section Manager- Albany

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Section Manager to join our Bridge Team in Albany, NY, where you’ll guide the planning, design, and delivery of innovative bridge and structural solutions across diverse transportation networks.
Responsibilities
- Organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to bridge infrastructure projects, from initial assessment through planning and design
- Collaborate with team leadership to manage and motivate a high-performing group of technical professionals, ensuring excellence in project delivery and achieving team utilization goals
- Effectively manage project budgets, scope, and schedules to deliver successful outcomes for critical bridge initiatives
- Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded throughout each phase
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required; previous project or team management experience preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices across various areas
- Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage relationships across the company
- An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
- Strategic thinker with the ability to guide and motivate team activity and resolve issues with urgency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project budgeting preferred; basic understanding of accounting processes
- Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision preferred
- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Pay
Salary Range $120,000 - $140,000. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
