About the role
The Breast Center team is hiring a Breast Patient Nurse Navigator-RN to provide treatment associated with Breast Health Services.
Responsibilities
- Consistently ensure timely access and seamless coordination of services for breast center patients throughout the continuum of care.
- Properly assess patients and families for any barriers that may prevent successful completion of breast evaluation or biopsies.
- Proactively track biopsy results and notify the patient in a professional and timely manner.
- Professionally provide education regarding breast self-examination.
- Efficiently contact patients that require additional imaging and provide empathetic support and reassurance, as needed.
- Actively participate in post-care and follow-up of patients to ensure the patient has an effective understanding of biopsy procedures.
- Effectively serve as liaison between breast imaging team, the medical and the surgical team.
- Consistently share knowledge with the patient of available internal and external support systems.
- Professionally direct activities and participate in Mammography/Pathology Tumor Board conferences.
Requirements
- Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
- For RNs licensed in or after 2017, completion of a Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree will be required within 8 years of the date the license was obtained.
- Five (5) years or more of related nursing experience within a Breast Care Program, Medical/Radiation Oncology, or Surgical Services setting.
- Certifications as a Certified Clinical Breast Examiner through MammaCare and National Consortium of Breast Centers National (CBPN-IC) certification within 1 year of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.

Pay
$38,000 - $41,200 / year. RNs are eligible for up to a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus.
Schedule
Part Time - 20 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm.
