About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track, with expertise required in Breast Imaging.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- American Board of Radiology certified or eligible
- Sub-specialty training in Breast Imaging
Responsibilities
- Teaching: Daily clinical supervision of residents and breast imaging fellows; lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from other departments
- Clinical: Utilizing advanced breast imaging technology to provide individually tailored, comprehensive evaluations for early and precise detection and diagnosis of breast diseases; conducting high-quality interventional breast procedures, including stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided biopsies
- Research or scholarship: Developing a focused body of research in breast imaging, including clinical and translational research on applying imaging methods to the detection, diagnosis, and evaluation of breast disease

- Prior research experience and demonstrated evidence of peer-reviewed scholarship required
- Ample support and mentorship for research will be provided
- The Breast Imaging Division, accredited by the American College of Radiology, provides screening and problem-solving mammography, breast MRI, and multimodality intervention for outpatients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and its satellite locations
