About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Breast Imaging.
Responsibilities
- Daily clinical supervision of residents and breast radiology fellows and lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from other departments.
- Prepare learning materials and lectures, teaching posters and presentations for national review.
- Serve in an educational leadership role within the Breast Radiology Division.
- Mentorship of junior faculty.
- Utilize advanced breast imaging technology to provide individually tailored, comprehensive evaluations for early and precise detection and diagnosis of breast diseases.
- Conduct high-quality interventional breast procedures, including mammographic, sonographic, and MRI guided biopsies.
- Representation of breast radiology to committees of the department, hospital(s) or School of Medicine.
- Serve as Lead Interpreting Physician, developing operational oversight and efficiency, and designated roles within the department.
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in Breast Radiology.
- Licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey will be required.
