Breast Imaging - Academic Clinician - Senior Ranks

About the role

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Breast Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Daily clinical supervision of residents and breast radiology fellows and lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from other departments.
• Prepare learning materials and lectures, teaching posters and presentations for national review.
• Serve in an educational leadership role within the Breast Radiology Division.
• Mentorship of junior faculty.
• Utilize advanced breast imaging technology to provide individually tailored, comprehensive evaluations for early and precise detection and diagnosis of breast diseases.
• Conduct high-quality interventional breast procedures, including mammographic, sonographic, and MRI guided biopsies.
• Representation of breast radiology to committees of the department, hospital(s) or School of Medicine.
• Serve as Lead Interpreting Physician, developing operational oversight and efficiency, and designated roles within the department.

Requirements

• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
• American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in Breast Radiology.
• Licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey will be required.
