About the role
The Branch Rental Manager will increase rental margin and revenue by maximizing vehicle utilization, controlling operational costs, and implementing an aggressive marketing strategy to meet future customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Outside Sales/Marketing: Set appointments with prospective customers, perform customer retention visits, and develop fleet planning information with recommendations for the Director of Rental.
- Rental Operations: Ensure rental contracts are completed, place customers in ready vehicles, manage cash and assets, analyze fleet management reports, and ensure vehicles meet company standards.
- Personnel Management: Recruit, select, train, supervise, and motivate employees. Conduct performance appraisals and develop employees' strengths and weaknesses.
- Customer Relations: Coordinate and maintain current accurate data within the company's marketing database, maintain relationships with existing customers, and maximize rate opportunities in the marketplace.
- Rental Counter Training: Provide training and supervision for the rental counter staff.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience in a similar or related industry.
- At least five (5) years of rental or sales experience, with at least three (3) years in the rental product line, including outside sales and rental counter supervision.
- At least two (2) years of experience managing others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of marketplace conditions to maximize rental fleet utilization.
- Profound knowledge of rental operations and asset management.
