About the role
The Branch Manager drives counter sales growth, implements company initiatives, and ensures efficient inventory management and control. This role oversees daily operations, holds P&L responsibility, and maintains the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Regional Branch Operations Managers to develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Implement and monitor company initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming/outgoing shipments, material handling, and warehouse inventory management.
- Set goals and objectives for the assigned area to meet department goals; develop and revise methods/procedures to improve efficiency.
- Ensure proper training of employees on equipment and machinery usage, including safety protocols.
- Inspect the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment; prepare work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacements.
- Coordinate warehouse activities with production, sales, and procurement departments.
- Advise and instruct subordinates in all aspects of work; enforce adherence to company safety policies.
- Review and evaluate employee progress in accordance with company guidelines.
- Exercise authority for independent decision-making affecting warehouse operations.
- Communicate administrative information, policies, and procedures to subordinates.
- Analyze operational issues to determine the most effective use of resources.
- Plan and schedule tasks over short and long ranges to determine priorities and assign work.
- Compile and prepare reports for management regarding operations and financial matters.
- Control inventory levels and coordinate annual inventory counts.
- Resolve customer complaints, questions, and inventory problems presented by staff.
- Manage property control systems, including tagging and documentation of location, description, and other data.
- Maintain inventory levels; purchase equipment, materials, and supplies within budget.
- Determine disposition of used or damaged property.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of electrical products and their applications.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports.
- Experience with Eclipse or similar CRM systems.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships.
- Highly motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to present information effectively to top management and groups of customers, vendors, or employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
$70,000+ based on experience, with an annual bonus opportunity.
