Job Responsibilities
- Survey the location and ensure it is safe for the Boot Officer.
- Take before and after pictures of vehicles being booted.
- Avoid unsafe situations during the booting process.
- Notify the Dispatcher via two-way radio when installing or releasing a boot.
- Complete reports for booted vehicles and stolen boots.
- Report existing or potential work hazards.
- Assist an administrative team with special projects (CSB).
- Complete all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
- Present daily reports detailing service performance.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class E Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Six (6) months of experience in a position requiring public contact.

Education and Experience

- Knowledge of City codes, ordinances, and state laws related to parking.
- Knowledge of City streets.
- Knowledge of traffic safety rules.
- Operate a police radio.
- Use a boot-wheel locking device.
- Exercise good judgment and tact in tenuous situations.
- Perform all physical requirements of the position.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (Intermediate Microsoft Work, Excel, and Outlook skills).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- High level of accuracy, speed, and data entry skills.
- Attention to details.
- Ability to relate well with others.
- Work under pressure.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
- Visual acuity, speech, and hearing necessary.
- Hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a two-way radio and a motor vehicle.
Working Conditions
- Primarily outside.
- Frequent exposure to temperature extremes.
- Dust.
- Damp/wet surfaces.
- High noise levels.
