About the role

The BCBA will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team including operations, behavioral, medical, and therapeutic services as well as families and funders. The BCBA will direct the assessment and treatment of challenging behavior, along with skill acquisition components of treatment within this framework. The BCBA will serve in a leadership and supervisory role, managing ABA Specialists (often LBAs in training) while also conducting direct clinical work.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the assessment and treatment of challenging behavior, along with skill acquisition components of treatment within this framework.
  • Serves in a leadership and supervisory role, managing ABA Specialists (often LBAs in training) while also conducting direct clinical work.
  • Supervises and oversees all activities associated with the development and implementation of behavior analytic services within the Individual Service Plans.
  • Leads the development and implementation of behavior plans; this includes functional behavior assessment/analysis, preference assessments and treatment evaluations.
  • Engages in ongoing data review and analysis to ensure effective programming.
  • Identifies training needs and develops and conducts those trainings to ensure the ongoing knowledge and ability to effectively implement behavior plans.
  • Conducts/oversees team screening admission evaluations and intake assessments; oversees the admission, transition, and discharge processes.
  • Serves as a behavior analysis expert to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
  • Conducts and presents research to internal and external audiences.
  • Serves as a clinical supervisor, implementing ABA themselves but also, training and directly supervising Behavior Support Specialists.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field, plus a minimum of two years of related experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, required.
  • BCBA certification required.
  • Prior experience in functional assessment and treatment development is highly preferred.
  • Prior management experience is also preferred.

Qualifications

  • New Jersey licensure in behavior analysis is required.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
  • Experience with functional behavior assessment and treatment development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and supervise a team of professionals.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Strong research and presentation skills.

Pay

$80,340 - $94,666.21

Schedule

Monday to Friday daytime hours.
