About the role

The Gloucester Program at Bancroft is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead the assessment and treatment of challenging behavior, along with skill acquisition components of treatment within this framework. The BCBA will manage Behavior Support Specialists (often LBAs in training), conduct direct clinical work, and supervise and oversee all activities associated with the development and implementation of behavior analytic services.

Responsibilities

  • Directly assess and treat challenging behavior, and develop and implement behavior plans including functional behavior assessment/analysis, preference assessments, and treatment evaluations.
  • Ongoing data review and analysis to ensure effective programming.
  • Identify training needs and develop/train Behavior Support Specialists.
  • Lead clinical case review meetings to ensure proper data review and discussion of individual needs.
  • Serve as a behavior analysis expert to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
  • Conduct and present research to internal and external audiences.
  • Implement ABA services, supervise and train Behavior Support Specialists.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field, plus a minimum of two years of related experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • BCBA certification required.
  • Prior experience in functional assessment and treatment development is highly preferred.
  • Prior management experience is also preferred.

Qualifications

  • New Jersey licensure in behavior analysis is required.
  • Candidates with an active BCBA certification may be eligible to interview.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
  • Experience in functional behavior assessment and treatment development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
