BIM Modeler III

About the role

The BIM Modeler III plays a crucial role in providing modeling efforts for both project delivery and standards. They lead and supervise the modeling and documentation of projects, provide direction to support staff, manage project models, and ensure adherence to REI standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide modeling efforts for project delivery and standards
• Lead and supervise the modeling and documentation of projects
• Give verbal and written direction to support staff
• Manage all aspects of assigned projects including project models, advising on resource needs, progress, and potential impacts on scope/schedule/budget
• Create and maintain Electrical Revit model using backgrounds from other trades following all REI standards
• Work with a diverse team across multiple departments and disciplines
• Supervise the layout and input of marked-up drawings into Revit in accordance with REI Standards
• Acknowledge any/all REI confidentiality and/or non-Disclosure requirements pursuant to this position

Requirements

• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computerized Drafting, Architectural Design or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year in Revit
• Minimum 5 years’ total experience with knowledge of electrical symbols and drafting conventions and standards

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Revit, including creating and manipulating Revit families, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and similar
• Understanding of REI BIM processes, procedures, and standards including workflow processes
• Fluency in reading 2D plans, electronically or hard copy, including one-lines, lighting schedules, panel schedules, and feeder schedules
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
• Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
• Strong, solutions-oriented oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
• Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
